SamSat-Ionosphere congratulates you on Victory Day, May 9!
The Interuniversity Department of Space Research at Samara University announces the "Victory Beacon": a festive event for amateur radio enthusiasts around the world!
The event is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union's victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. To mark the occasion, a celebratory message will be broadcast from the SamSat-Ionosphere nanosatellite (callsign RS75S) between May 5 and May 19. Those who successfully receive the message will be awarded a personalized electronic commemorative QSL card.
The SamSat-Ionosphere beacon is transmitted automatically at 6-minute intervals. The nanosatellite's transmitter operates at a frequency of 437.4 MHz using the FSK1k2 AX.25 mode.
The celebratory message includes the address of an exclusive webpage, specially designed for Victory Day, with further instructions on how to claim the QSL card.
